Gospel 009 Martyn Lloyd-Jones: Resurrection Sermon

We will be listening to Dr. David Martyn Lloyd-Jones and in this sermon, he addresses how different the church of this generation is to the early church who did not compromise with this world. In Acts 4:1-2, it says, “The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.” To this generation that cannot hear or understand the resurrection, Peter and John boldly proclaimed that Jesus who died on the cross had risen from the dead. That this Risen Jesus is Lord and God! And Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones testifies that it was this resurrection of Jesus that the early church boldly and joyfully proclaimed, refusing to compromise with this world. Let’s listen together.
